A Milford to Salt Lake City through freight has stopped to make a pickup at Provo Yard on Sept. 18, 1976. The power consist includes a rare EMD TR-5 'cow and calf', a GP9, an SD24B and an SD45. With the variety of locomotive types on Union Pacific's roster in the 1970s, we used to say the initials 'U P' meant 'UnPredictable'.
