Remarks & Notes
An eastbound Oyster Bay train descends the the grade from Sea Cliff into Glen Street station bracketed by a set of automatics (signal rule D-251 in effect on this segment of track). Engineers would frequently keep the brakes set from their previous station stop at Sea Cliff, bail the engine off and power brake down the grade into Glen Street. Since the stations are so close together, if an engineer went to release, he may or may not have his air fully charged by the time he needed it again.
