Remarks & Notes |
St. Johnsbury & Lamoille County's "Saint J" turn is heading back to Morrisville, VT. Here we watch it climb out of St. Johnsbury going under Route 2 with ex NYC GP9 power. The GE 70 tonners are gone, covered bridges replaced, and track structure upgraded in order to accommodate the higher axel loadings from anticipated bridge traffic. Cars received from Canadian Pacific and Maine Central fill out this consist along with a smattering of on line loads. Photographer Ken noted it was a great morning in Vermont on this August day in 1972. |
