Gladstone Classic: A three car set of Arrow IIIs rolls over the Millington High Bridge, a well known landmark on NJ Transit's Gladstone Branch. The line was originally constructed as the New Jersey West Line, a proposed route to connect the Morris and Essex Railroad to the Central Railroad of New Jersey. The Gladstone branch between Summit and Gladstone was the only portion of the railroad actually constructed. The line was then bought by the Passaic and Delaware Railroad then leased and eventually acquired by the Delaware Lackawanna and Western Railroad who merged with the Erie to form the Erie Lackawanna railroad which was abosrbed into Conrail. Conrail then proceeded to rid itself of passenger service and the line was picked up by New Jersey Transit which brings it to it's current status as the Gladstone Branch. The Gladstone Branch has trains running from Gladstone to Summit,Hoboken, and New York Penn.
