| UP 5806 is seen here at the bottom of Loray Wash, climbing the 1.3% westward grade about 10 miles west of Montello, Nevada. In steam days Montello was a helper base for this 21 mile grade out of the Tecoma Valley up to Valley Pass on the northern end of the Pequop Range, an elevation gain of 2000'. |
