| The Elk River Railroad continues as a viable operation, essentially serving as a switching operation for a car repair and storage operation in Gassaway, WV. The railroad recently repainted its two active units (ELKR 1 and 3) into this modified version of the scheme many a shortline fan has stopped into Gassaway to photograph over the years. |
