Standing tall on a very short dead-line, this ex MILW FP7 faces an uncertain future. All non-used equipment of the Walking Horse & Eastern has been scrapped in the last couple of years, making this the only non-working item still in the yard. She's survived 64 years, but the scrapper's torch grows ever closer. Built in June of 1950, this locomotive saw active freight duty until 5 or 6 years ago. She wears a NC&StL tribute paint scheme, though she was never on the roster of that railroad.
Photos of North America's favorite First Generation locomotives. EMD, ALCO, Baldwin; essentially anything that represents the OG wide cab diesel locomotive
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
