PCC streetcar # 1073 of San Franciscos MUNI was built in 1947 by the St.Louis Car Co for the Twin City Rapid Transit Co in Minneapolis-St.Paul, Minnesota. Later runing in Newark, New Jersey from 1953 till 2001, purchased by MUNI in 2004. The elegant streetcar wears an atractive livery in tribute to El Paso, Texas/Juarez, Mexico, the only international PCC streetcar line. Photo was taken in the Market street at the Kearny Street stop with Lotta's fountain from 1875 on the left.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
