When describing events that occur trackside, I refrain from using the phrase "once in a lifetime" as I feel that phrase is overused for relatively common occurrences. However this event was truly once in a lifetime as an Indiana Railroad SD90MAC ventured to New York state in the trailing position on a CSX ethanol train. Fortunately for railfans in New York State this train was riddled with problems in the early morning hours allowing for shots of it in daylight on the River Sub. Unfortunately this train had even more problems once it hit Haverstraw with the lead unit that forced the crew to tie the train down there. To make a long story short, this power never wound up reaching the ports of New Jersey as new power was sent up to Haverstraw to bring the ethanol train South. The DME/INRD sat there for nearly a week before being brought to Kingston, shockingly the local crew arranged the power so the INDR SD90 led the train North.
