Fruita's most visible landmark, the awesomely-painted grain elevator, provides a colorful backdrop for the eastbound Amtrak California Zephyr, zipping through town right on time. Fruita is home to the very enjoyable Dinosaur Journey Museum, and numerous dinosaur skeletons have been discovered in the area.
