Remarks & Notes
Vermont Rail System's Green Mountain Railroad train #263-30 is passing through the Cavendish Gore downgrade toward Gassetts, Vermont, on the eastbound trip from Rutland to Bellows Falls, Vermont. The 263 train has a quartet of red four-axle EMD units - Vermont Railway GP40-2 303, GP40-2W 311 (50th Anniversary) and GP40-2 307, along with CLP GP38-2 204 - handling the freight tonnage that includes salt, paper and fuel oil for the cold New England Winter.
