Locomotive No. 29 was restored by GCR in 2004. Locomotive No. 29 was built in May 1906 at ALCO's (American Locomotive Company) Pittsburgh works. The engine weighs 185 tons. It was converted by GCR to burn waste vegetable oil. No. 29 currently enjoys semi-retirement as a prominent fixture in front of the Grand Canyon Depot near the South Rim’s El Tovar Hotel.
