Remarks & Notes |
"Crossing the Lackawaxen River"
In a very unusual daylight move over the CNYK Southern Tier, a detoured CSX garbage train crosses the Lackawaxen River with two CSX units and two NYS&W units hauling a mixed train (half SU-99 and half Q710). The train had departed the NYS&W yard in New Jersey early that morning which meant the train would run in daylight all the way to Binghamton. Given the rarity of daylight trains on the Tier and the fact that this ran on a Sunday, railfans were out in full force to document this event. |
