Victoria's oldest operating mainline steam loco Y112 (built 1889), crosses the tramway crossing at Glenhuntly during a suburban tour. This is one of three remaining places in Victoria where the 600v DC standard gauge tramway system crosses the 1500v DC broad gauge railway system on the level. As the years go by, more and more steam engines are being restored and operating therefore the old expression "steam is dead" is nothing but a false expression. Steam is strong and still ruling the rails.
