Remarks & Notes
For some freight cars the end of the line is not necessarily the scrapper’s torch, but instead finding use somewhere else other than the railroad. This former Santa Fe covered hopper built in March of 1966 by the ACF Company is one such example of a freight car that has found a new life after the railroad. A local feed mill has found the trade mark Center Flow design of this covered hopper an ideal way for loading their product into any type of vehicle that drives below it.
