After almost twenty years in the absence of regular passenger trains, the Sondika - Lutxana Line has returned to life, although it should be noted that over the years have been circulating Txorierri Line trains, on its way to the company workshops of Lutxana. The reason for this exceptional circumstance are the works of Artxanda tunnel belonging to the Line 3 of Metro Bilbao . Over 18 months, the trains from Lezama that previously reached Bilbao-Aduana will be destined to Lutxana -Erandio station, where may make transfer to Line 1 of Metro Bilbao.
