Remarks & Notes 
The Volks Electric Railway opened in 1883,and runs from Brighton Pier to a station at the Marina (Black Rock station).The line is a mile long,825mm gauge,and is powered by a 110volt D.C. third rail.It is the oldest operating electric railway in the world,and is hugely popular with tourists.Here,car 9 sets out from Black Rock station for the run to Brighton Pier.
