Moments away from crossing under the historic US Route 66 overpass, a hot Z-Train out of San Bernardino, Calif., rolls through the west end of Crookton as it heads to Willow Springs, Ill., on March 10, 2015. The train is just about to get on the 1960 realignment after crossing under the overpass, known to locals as the Crookton Cutoff.
