A novelty at the time. At the time this photo was taken in September 2014, CN's ES44AC's were rare in Quebec, whereas now many, many trains have them as power. They are also nowhere near as clean as they were soon after being built. Here CN 401 heads west through Montreal West with two ES44AC's (CN 2865 & CN 2852), the former being brand new at the time.
