A place I hated to pickup was here at Hollandale Jct on the Wells line. As you can see, the elevator loaded 50 car sets on a steep grade that used to be a branch off the mainline. Bad part was when they had everything loaded, there was only about 1 car of room to the end of the track. Then there usually was 15-20 butted knuckles cause it was too hard to open a knuckle while they loaded cars! We put a fair amount of cars off the end of the track here til they rebuilt the track.
In 2007 the Wells day job has their 2 SD40's in notch 8, barely moving these 50 loads. If you weren't derailing cars, sometimes you couldn't pull the loads out of here either. This place could frustrate you very quickly!
