Remarks & Notes |
The KCS Mexico Subdivision has a rich railroad history behind it if you know where to look for it. One such piece of history is the Chicago & Alton bridge at Glasgow, Mo that spans over the "Mighty Missouri" River. Built in 1900 the bridge has seen many of trains down through the lineage of ownership of the line. Today it's the Kansas City Southern that operates over the line. The Slater Local is coming over the eastern side of the bridge to do a quick set out of grain hoppers for the MFA Cooperative before moving on east to the division point of Mexico, Mo. |
