On February 25th 2016 Arguable the World most famious Steam engine, Flying Scotsman (LNER 4472 but now in BR livery) made a very public Inaugural run from London to York following a protracted and expensive overhaul in mostly dismul weather and followed by three, sometimes five TV helicopters. The previous day, the 24th, the engine makes its way to London with a support coach in full winter sun, here seen between the two tunnels at Welwyn North, with thanks to an understanding boss allowing me a late lunch break.
