Remarks & Notes |
Approaching Merry Lane - After running east (downhill) with two tank cars in tow, the train is now seen running west (uphill) with the same two tank cars in tow. How did they manage to move the locomotive around these tank cars without a runaround track? They used the second siding in the distance to temporarily spot the two tank cars. Next they moved the locomotive back out onto the line and uphill, and then let gravity roll the tank cars back out onto the line positioning them downhill of the locomotive. Voila! The train is now approaching Merry Lane from the east where it will exchange cars at Chemtura, a lubricant manufacturing facility. |
