Remarks & Notes
The Norfolk, Virginia area was a stronghold for part of the Norfolk & Western’s fleet of unique notch-nosed Alco T6 transfer locomotives. A new addition came to the area in 1981 when the Eastern Shore Railroad purchased the former PRR/PC/Conrail 9844 to work the carfloat slip at Little Creek.
