Remarks & Notes |
A UP-SP-CNW merger consist pulls a Kansas City to Oakland auto train west out of Salt Lake City via the former Western Pacific mainline on July 6, 1997. This AKSOA train took the traditional SP routing via the former Missouri Pacific east of Pueblo and the D&RGW via Tennessee Pass. Beginning on August 24th, Tennessee Pass was shut down to through traffic and the AKSOA train was rerouted via UP's Overland Route through Wyoming into Ogden and west across the Great Salt Lake on the former SP and WP lines into Nevada and California. |
