The spring geometry car begins its trek across the Caramat Sub with what would be a good run. We were to have a 2200-22 start to protect the train operating 24hrs (oh joy!). However, it had a nice power swap in Winnipeg and fell back enough to make a sunrise appearance the following day. The chase would begin soon after it passed, with just a handful of minor spots to repair. The train is operating on a 24hr test run between Kamloops, BC and Halifax, NS. The train is CN F40PH 105 (Agawa Canyon/ACR paint) ; AMTK 39037 (sleeper) ; CN 414852 (DGRMS Test Car) ; CN 1057 (Test Car "Louis Joliet") [quite a combo!]
For the most part, this section of CN is very isolated, and as an employee I am able to gain access. CN's Bala, Ruel, Soo, Caramat, Allanwater, and Redditt Subs are all featured.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
