Freight traffic remains steady on the Vermont Rail System's Green Mountain Railroad, with an occasional extra being required to move tonnage between Rutland and Bellows Falls over the old Rutland Railroad route. On May 17, CLP GP38 203, VTR SD70M-2 432 and GMTX GP38-2 2147 (ex-Natchez Railroad 2601) team up to move 21 eastbound loads to Bellows Falls, where they would pick up twice that many cars for the westbound run back to Rutland.
