Running about two and half hours late, Amtrak's Southwest Chief, eastbound service to Chicago, emerges from the long shadows near Maine, AZ on the third day of October. A BNSF Dash-9 was added to the point after one of the Amtrak units had mechanical issues leaving Kingman. The unit was added in Peach Springs, AZ.
