Work continues to get the derailment from a few days ago cleaned up and getting the junction back into service. A day or two ago after the crossing accident, Norfolk Southern along with the few railroad contractor begin removal of the damage equipment off the damage mainline so track repair could begin. NS 8505 the only D8.5-40CW that was on the active NS locomotive roster was back up right from being laid on it side, and was left behind. The railroad came and tow the other two locomotive to Debutts Yard to be salvage, along with the rest of the train that wasn't damage in the derailment. Unfortunately the damage was done on this locomotive which draw the question of when does the scraping begin. The eight cars that was also involved in the derailment was bulldoze down the ravine to clear the main up, those cars will be scared as well. Like I said before one careless mistake can lead up to something very disastrous..
