It takes a team... Through the hard work of Union Pacific's dedicated steam crew Union Pacific's 1944 veteran ALCo FEF-3 made a successful return to the Denver Post's annual Frontier Days special between Denver, CO and Cheyenne, WY. On the morning of Sunday July 24th, 2016 the 844 was being made ready to lead deadheading passenger cars on their journey home to Council Bluffs following the Frontier Days excursion. Prior to the train's departure two members of the steam crew make their rounds, checking and re-checking the big ALCo.
