Two days after the official dedication ceremony, Metrolink Cab Car 602 leads a test train through Anaheim on its way from Oceanside back to Los Angeles. F59PH 851 is shoving on the rear. Regular service would begin later that year. Much has changed in the intervening years, as this line is now double tracked, the field in the background is now a hotel, Anaheim Stadium (now Angel Stadium) has had much of what you see here removed in order to make it a true baseball stadium again (good riddance to the Rams) and the Anaheim train station, which this train has just departed, has moved east a bit. And while Metrolink still runs here, these Bombardier cab cars have been replaced with cab cars built by Hyundai Rotem (as have many of the Bombardier coaches) and Metrolink's paint scheme has changed once on the cars, and twice on the engines.
