Former french railway express train steamlocomotive 241 A 65 (former ETAT 241 001), a four cylinder compound (de Glehn design) built in 1931 by Fives/Lille for the "Chemin de fer de l'ETAT", is coal fired (with stoker) and has about 3500 HP, max. velocity was 110 km/h (today in Switzerland 100 km/h). Driving wheel diameter 1950 mm or 6.4 ft, weight in working order with tender 200 ton. The locomotive is operational for association "241 A 65" and based in Full/Argovie. It is pulling a charter train from Full to Lyss (steam days) and will reach destination in few minutes. |
