CSX SD40-2 #8880, of Conrail origin, creeps it way across Hall St. with train D907 in Grand Rapids, Michigan at restricted speed due to a MOW crew near the crossing. A rail was being replaced that necessitated the crossing signals to be temporarily disabled, which also meant the traffic signals wouldn't turn red when a train entered the deactivated crossings' circuit. Gates up with green lights and a train make for an interesting sight indeed! After flagging the train across the busy East/West road during the evening rush, the crew will take 8880 and D907 back to Lansing after having worked Wyoming Yard.
