On the 5th and 6th September, employees of track lease owner ARTC, took industrial action resulting in a 48 hour shutdown of the network in New South Wales. Several trains ended up being stabled in regional yards during the closure, one of which was 5478N SSR loaded grain from Edgeroi, stabled in the yard at Narrabri West. Ex Victorian Railways C509, C510, C504 & C507 are attached to the lead here awaiting the reopening of the line to depart for Carrington to unload.
