The Southern heritage unit leads the Detroit-Kansas City, Mo., TripleCrown "RoadRailer" in the Sangamon County village of Curran, 10 miles west of the state capital Springfield, on September 21, 2016. The train is going under the old Chicago & North Western "SI" Line, which then became the Union Pacific Madison Subdivision following the merger of the two railroads in 1995 until that portion of the line was abandoned in 1998.
