The power for Pan Am Railways train BF-1 sat in White River Junction, Vermont, for several days following the town's 2016 - 24th Annual - Glory Days of the Railroad Festival. A trio of former Canadian National GP40-2s were there - MEC GP40-2(W) 511, MEC GP40-2L 504 and MEC GP40-2L 506. Although MEC 511 is the cleanest of the three units (the paint is newer, including a black fuel tank and trucks) it cannot lead as it is a "B unit" - it has no cab seats.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
