This area would be hit hard by flash flooding the next night, and the mainline would be out of service about where the train's rear end is now for around 36 hours. Clouds in the sky at sunset are from big storms that dump anywhere from 6-12 inches of rain in a 12 hour period in north-central Iowa. It would end up being a rough 48 hours of weather in Iowa, and the CN would be hit hard in many spots with flooding.
