Having received a text just minutes after leaving work on September 29, 2016, a fellow train chaser from our area informed me that Central Maine & Quebec's first repainted GP38 in the new company colors was leading the return leg of the day's Searsport Branch local. At the Prospect-Frankfort, Maine town line along Route 1A, the rays of early Autumn held out just long enough to capture the EMD leaning into the curve as it approached Mosquito Mountain.
