With the conclusion of Fullerton Railroad Days fast approaching, BNSF 4279, ATSF 3751, AMTK 90208 and AMTK 42 have made their move out of the Fullerton display track and out onto the main in preparation for their departure. Unlike previous years, however, the special consist won't be thundering through Fullerton with 3751 doing all the work quite yet. Instead, a special photo-op has been requested by the BNSF Railway to have the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society's photographer (myself) capture this year's consist pausing at the Fullerton depot. Once this task is completed, the consist will once again back to East Fullerton where they'll wait for the signal (and a westbound stack train to overtake them) before highballing through the station on their way home to Amtrak's 8th Street yard. Prior to pulling into the depot for photos, I snapped this shot off of 3751's safety popping as we waited for the signal to head into the depot for the mentioned company photos.
