Just 45 minutes prior and near the base of Mount Waldo following a morning hike, the distant sound of a Nathan P3 told me exactly where I would I'd end up in the near future. Back in the present and a few miles South, Central Maine & Quebec's Searsport job rolled into bright sun at the Thornton's pit in Prospect, Maine with Mosquito Mountain looming in back. A healthy string of over 20 empty slurry tanks trailed first in line this morning of November 13, 2016. 3815 and 2003 have been a team down this way for a couple weeks now and while it's extremely nice to have another "new" GP38 plying the Searsport Branch, the B23-7 is on borrowed time along with it's four other active kin on CMQ. Even with so many photos of it over the years, I'd still get a couple more later this day. It could soon be the last!
