During the later afternoon hour we catch the Sequatchie Valley Railroad (SQVR) 1205 sporting its new official company paint scheme, hard at work shoving a string of cars around the South Pittsburg Yard. The United States Gypsum Co had just retired their older fleet of the early model of the RD5 Coal Hoppers that was used to haul gypsum in, and they we're sent to the town of South Pittsburg, TN where a private contractor is cutting up the cars on the spot. The train and its crews are getting the cars in place for the weekend, before the train continue south for its next stop at the United States Gypsum Co to pick up some cars.
