The roar of three Electro Motive diesels can be heard echoing against the rock face of Tunnel 27's west portal as the LOF67, Union Pacific's local running from Gemco (Van Nuys) to Guadalupe, works upgrade toward the mile long Tunnel 26 on its way out of the San Fernando Valley. The 924-foot long bore the train is seen exiting was finished in 1904 and renovated in 1921. |
