Remarks & Notes
This is a morning (more like noon actually), loaded coal train westbound for the Bonanza Power Plant in Utah. The location is Midway siding, the only siding on this 35 mile railroad. The siding is not electrified and is sometimes used to store MOW equipment. This stretch of about 3 or 4 miles is the only north-south oriented trackage on the railroad and is therefore about the only place to catch a well lit outbound morning train. Colorado Hwy. 64 between Dinosaur and Rangely, Colorado runs next to the railroad here and affords good access to this remote railroad.
