As the sun sets on June 29, 2016, an eastbound BNSF grain empty curves into Lombard, Montana, on the busy main line of Montana Rail Link. In a few hours, the colorful clouds will build into impressive thunderstorms flashing over the ghost town, once a location where the Milwaukee Road Pacific Extension crossed over the Missouri River and Northern Pacific on an impressive curved bridge. This view is from the abandoned right-of-way.
