During the period immediately after the Conrail takeover by Norfolk Southern and CSXT in 1999, motive power consists were often diverse. On November 6, 1999, NS train M3WH905, a multi-level/autorack extra from Buffalo, NY to Enola, PA, is seen passing the South Miller PRR position light signals with Chicago & Northwestern C44-9W 8714 leading two recently renumbered ex-Conrail units, GP38-2 5268 and SD40-2 3440.
