Remarks & Notes
Duluth South Shore and Atlantic Train #1 is waiting for the arrival of NYC #207 from Detroit. After eating breakfast in the depot's restaurant, passengers wishing to head north to points in the Upper Peninsula will board these red cars which will be taken across the Straits of Mackinac by the rail ferry CHIEF WAWATAM to the DSS&A line in St. Ignace, Michigan. The NYC switcher, which appears to be #7715, will push the cars onto the ferry.
