Veteran engineer Bill Johnson bring the 70 cars manifest NS 174 (Macon,GA-Elkhart,IN) through the small farming community of Blue Springs, TN (MP 8.2-I) on the NS Cohutta District (I-Line) just north of the TN/GA Stateline. NS 174 is the second, and probably only schedule train that run up the short district of the day, just hour prior extra section M74 had came through, and have done a pick up and drop off at Cleveland, TN on the NS West-End (A-Line). NS 174 will run all the way up to Control-Point (CP) Bradley Jct, where the inbound crew will tie down the 70 car train at the "junk yard!' The outbound crew will eventually take the train to Knoxville, TN.
Tier IV locomotives are the safest, cleanest, and most fuel efficient locomotives on the rails today. Unfortunately, most of them are ugly and are as quiet as an ACS-64.
