Remarks & Notes
Deseret Power’s morning, loaded, train ran around 4 hours early this morning so as to open a window for the maintenance crew to replace a rail at around MP 1.5. The now empty morning train rolled back east and is seen here descending the grade off of the higher ground that separates Coyote Basin from Mormon Gap just a couple of miles inside Colorado. The train had orders to stop at the top of Holum Pass and wait for further orders to proceed east. However the order was changed and Shift Supervisor Rick Quinn radioed orders to stop short of the crew replacing rail at MP 1.5.

Some are loved, others are hated. In the end, they are failures.
