Remarks & Notes
"The Branch"

The NBER operates the former Bald Eagle Branch of the PRR, or known to some locals simply as "The Branch." Built after a few failed attempts as the Bald Eagle Valley Railroad, it was quickly absorbed by the PRR and became a busy bypass route for trains heading to Lock Haven on the Buffalo Line, with over 40 trains per day at its peak. Today, traffic is limited to 3 NBER trains weekly and the occasional Norfolk Southern train for Strawberry Ridge operated via trackage rights.
