Making its second to last run before the October 9 schedule change, LARail.com's private cars Overland Trail, Pacific Trail and Silver Splendor skirt the ex-Southern Pacific coast line just north of Summerland as they head north for Santa Barbara and ultimately San Luis Obispo. In the same fashion, this sunny, Saturday morning would mark the second to last day Amtrak 1761 would operate all the way to San Luis Obispo tuning as 1790 for the return trip south. Following October 9, 1761 now only operates as far as Goleta before returning south as 792.
